Fall Trend: Gold Jewellery

Hey Everyone!

Its been a while since I posted anything about jewellery which is odd because I love jewellery. During the past few weeks I have been gravitating towards gold jewellery. I think the warmer tones really add something to an outfit during the cooler fall months. In fact, I think during winter and fall gold jewellery is a must.

The photo above include some of the pieces I have been sporting as of late. Sorry about the poor quality of the photo, I couldn't get a proper photo no matter what I tried. If you're wondering where you can find these pieces the Cuff and Earring Cuff are both from H&M (the bracelet is over year old but you can find something similar at forever21), the necklace, bracelet and studs are all from forever 21 and are for the most par recent purchases so try having a peek at you local forever 21. The rings are from a local store but infinity midi rings can be found basically anywhere!

Hope you enjoyed this short post, and thanks for reading!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian followers

Montreal Street Style (The Detailed Edition)

Recently, a few friends of mine and I took a little trip to Montreal. We had an amazing time and those rumors you hear about the French being rude aren't true at all! Everyone we met was so lovely and wonderful and I can't wait to go back.So if you're stuck wondering where you should take your next vacay I would recommend considering Montreal. Anyways, while we were there I took some photos of the details in some of our outfits. I hope you enjoy the photos and can perhaps gather some inspiration of your own.

If you have any questions on any certain piece please leave them down below.

Inglot Haul

Whilst I was in Montreal I was lucky enough to be able to visit the Inglot store. Inglot isn't readily available where I live and I think there is actually only a couple Inglot locations in all of Canada. While I was there one of the girls working there told me they were working on a better online store for the rest of us Canadians. I think if you want to make an order you can but you have to personally email someone with the items you want to buy and they will be shipped to you. Anyways, while I was there I picked up 4 of the O2M breathable nail enamels which are suppose to be water permeable? (I don't think they are water permeable, there are several videos on YouTube in which you can see that these are not water permeable, if you would like me to do a test feel free to leave comment down below) I also picked up 2 of there eye shadows.

So far I haven't really played much with the nail colors, I would say the all need two coats to be fully opaque except the blue one you could probably get away with just one coat. I do plan on wearing the red one tonight so maybe I will edit this part with an update on how I found the wear and formula to be.

On the other hand, I did get a chance to play with the eye shadows which are from the Freedom System range, and they are definitely worth all the hype you hear on blogs and YouTube. They are highly pigmented as you can see in the swatches down below and they lasted on me all day without hardly any fading. Also, I got to give a shout out to their magnetic packaging, I love it! It is so sleek and compact and you never have to worry about it opening up in your bag or any of the side hinges breaking, definitely two thumbs up! Hopefully, I will be able to get more colors cause their range is beautiful. If you are in the US or Europe and have a location available to you I definitely recommend having a look at their eye shadows if you haven't already!

Nars Luster and Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple

Today, I thought I would share with you guys one of my  two of my favorite go-to make up products for the summer time. The first one that I am going to mentions is by Nars and it is their blush in Luster. Luster is described to be a sheer golden apricot, I would describe it as being a peachy orange with red undertones. It is really pretty on the cheeks and warms up the skin a little making it look like you have a nice glow or have been in the sun a little to long. I recommend this blusher to anyone as I think it would be suitable to most skin tones.  I especially think this blusher would look good on those with blue eyes because the color of the blush would help your eyes stand out more!

You can purchase it at your local Sephora or the Sephora website.

The next product I would like to suggest to all you is the Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple. It is no secret that I love my red lip sticks and Candy Apple is a red lipstick that has a more sheer formulation. It can be easily be built up to a more brighter red and can also be toned down and more sheered out. I think the color and the formulation are especially great for the summer time.  I tend to go for more of a bright lip rather than doing my eyes during the summer because it is so much hotter and I don't want to end up with panda eyes.

The Revlon Lip Butter can be purchased at you local drugstore.

Another (tiny) Haul ..this time with mini reviews: Indeed Labs, Vichy, Benefit

I was recently at the drugstore picking up some necessities and instead of getting my usual go to products I thought I would pick up a few new items to try. The first thing I got is the Indeed Labs pepta-bright. Now that my skin is a little less prone to breaking out I wanted to get something that would fade those pesky dark scars that get left behind. I figured if Caroline Hirons decided to give it her stamp of approval it must be somewhat good. Fingers crossed this work and my skin stay blemish free.

The next thing I got is another skin care product and it is the Vichy Pureté Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser (cleansing milk). Now the only reason I got this was because I needed a new cleanser and it was on sale for I believe $12.99 in comparison to $19.99 and because it is a non-foaming cleanser. I did try this out last night and I hate to say I did not like it. The package claims to remove eye makeup and mine barely budged and I don't wear waterproof eye makeup, and I found none of my other face make up moving either. The cleanser also claims to tone and cleanse the skin. Once I was done cleansing, I touched my face and it was soft but it felt as though there was some sort of film left behind from the cleanser. Afterwards, I grabbed my toner and a cotton round and I found there to be quite  a bit of makeup on the cotton round which of course means using this cleanser will probably just leave me with congested skin. Quite unfortunate especially because I massaged the cleanser in quite a bit, I must admit I had high hopes and was sadly disappointed.

The last thing I got was a make up item, and it is the coveted benefit's They're Real mascara. In the last little while, I have heard and seen so much hype about this mascara all over YouTube and the blogosphere. Now, I've never tried a higher end mascara because honestly I have always loved all the on ones I try at the drugstore. But with all the hype my interests were piqued and I thought I would give it a go. I tried it out for the first time today and honestly I didn't really like it, I found it didn't give me much volume and made my lashes feel crispy and look spidery. However, it did lengthen my lashes quite a bit and I do like the shape of the wand. I heard if you use it a bit more it is suppose to get better so I'm hoping next time I use it I will more impressed. I think I'm going to head back to the drugstore and get my favorites: L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black and Covergirl Lash Blast

Up close of the wand:

Hope you all enjoyed this post, and I have quite a few posts planned for this week so remember to visit again! Thank you all for reading and don't forget to follow on GFC or bloglovin, feel free to leave a comment and I will follow you back as well as if you have any other comments or suggestions. Have a great week everyone.

In's and Out's: The ramble edition

It literally has been ages since I have posted anything so I would like to apologize for that. Basically, I just wasn't feeling inspired. Blogging is one of my hobbies and I don't want to force myself to do something I don't feel passionate about. Anyways, I am once again getting the urge to blog so I guess this is me returning to my dusty little blog.

In:

Blue nails!

Dexter:  The final season of Dexter is starting in 2 days! Can't believe they are ending the show and I can't wait to see how they plan on ending the series. Also another TV show that I have been enjoying lately is Flight of Concords, it could probably be described as a "indie glee". It is a hilarious show and I recommend you check it out if you are looking for something to watch.

Zara Sale for summer and spring is on! And there is finally shipping to Canada and which means I can shop form the comfort of my own bed! :)

Music: I have a few songs I would like to share
                  Bloc Party - Ratchet
                  Lorde - Tennis Court
                  Avicii - Wake me Up
Milky Chance - Flashed Junk Mind
Woodkid feat. Angel Haze - I Love You

 Out:

School: I can't wait to be done... it feels like I have been in school forever. Its not that I mind school, its just all the stress that comes along with being in school.

Unorganized: My room is horrendous... ever since I cam back from my little vacay I have not kept up with keeping my room in order, and I can not find anything in my room which then leads to me to clutter my room up even more as I go looking for said lost item. Not that my room is ever spotless ..I just need to restore order.

Rain: I don't know why but rain has been a major part of the forecast. It is summer now and even though I don't like heat a few sunny days would be nice instead of the gloomy grey skies.

Anyways, thank you to anyone who gave this a read! I hope to be blogging atleast weekly from now on if not more! Thanks for reading and following!

Review: Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

Welcome to the Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask bandwagon. There is a probably a zillion and one reviews on this mask so I'm going to keep my thoughts on this product quite short.

When I decided to try out the mask I went with the 'exclusive to sephora' kit which comes with a full sized Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, a mini Micro Polish Cleanser and a mini radiance perfection serum. When I first used the mask I used all three products in conjunction, the cleanser was nice but it seems like your typical exfoliating cleanser.

Now for the mask, when the product is pumped out your left with a gloppy almost jam consistency that has an orangey smell. I slather the product all over my face and leave it on for about 10-15mins. The first time I used it I realized next to no difference in the appearance of my skin. After all the hype I had read surrounding the mask you can bet I was disappointed and to the back of my medicine cabinet this product went. Then a couple weeks ago my skin was just not in its best condition and I was searching my stash for something to rejuvenate my skin and I came across the mask again. I used the cleanser, then the mask, followed by the serum and I woke up the next day to glowing skin. My skin was significantly smoother, the tone of my skin was more uniform and I had an overall glow. More over, my make up went on more smoothly and flawlessly. Basically, this mask receives an overall thumbs up from me and is going to have a permanent slot in my Sunday evening schedule.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, make sure to tell me what your favorite masks are in the comments below and, as usual leave and questions or comments down below!
