Cuff Jewellery: H&M, ALDO, ASOS

Hey Everyone! Cuff Jewellery has been really in for the last little while. So I thought I would do a quick little post on some of the cuff jewellery I have been sporting. All of the pieces are very inexpensive and reasonably easy to obtain. Some of the pieces may even be on sale now as they were purchases from earlier.

I love cuff jewellery as it easily dresses up a casual outfit. A simple white tea and some black jeans with any of the necklaces easily helps to make your outfit cute with a chic edge. I tend to find that a lot cuff jewellery can easily be made into statement pieces as well so I think there good to have. And for the price, why not?

So here is what I've been loving/wearing:

6.95 CDN from H&M

So firstly, we have the bracelet cuff, I purchased the gold one first and then later on I saw the silver ones and decided to get two so I could wear one on each arm. I find the chains that hang make them a little more girly and feminine and just make them a little different compared to the normal cuff type of bracelet you see. However, one downside is that on one of the bracelets the chains fell out but I got my mom to put them back in so it was an easy fix. All three were 6.95 from H&M

All from H&M, top two 7.95 CDN,bottom one 12.95 CDN

I obviously couldn't chose just one color and had to have all three.. #fail. I got the rose gold first and it is a bit thinner than the other two which i like. The other two are a little thicker but I think they're still okay. All three were from H&M, the top two I think were 7.95 and the bottom one was missing the packaging so I am not sure of the exact price but I paid 12.95

~$14 CDN from ASOS

Clearly I've been watching way to much Made in Chelsey, it definitely is a guilty pleasure as is most reality television.  These are inspired by Rosie Fortescue, I can't help but be in love with her style. I once again couldn't decide which color and got two. They are from ASOS and I paid ~$14, they can be purchased from the website.

Aldo $39

These are probably one the things I am most proud of this season! I got these from Aldo and they were on sale for $39. I love the cuff on top and the tiny heel at the bottom. They are different than anything I have seen in the last little while and on par with the cuff trend. The rest of the sandal looks really nice as well when worn.

Anyways, hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Current: Bracelet Faves & A tiny haul

Hey Everyone,

It has been a little while since I last posted, I am fully aware that I need to improve this. School has basically taken over my life at this point and the fact that it is summer makes it even harder for me to focus on my school work. But I know I shouldn't be making excuses :-P.

After writing a grueling midterm today I thought why not relax my self by writing a blog post and showing you guys a few items I have hauled recently and my current arm candy favorites.

Watch is from Urban Outfitters $39.99 and bracelet is from H&M 2 Pack $7.99
Basically, I am crazy about this watch.Perfection really is the only word I can think of to describe this watch. I love how it has a vintage feel and adds a bit of elegance to any outfit, and why not have a watch with two clocks. The salmon colored bracelet is from H&M and is part of there summer jewellery collection. It comes in a two pack along with a mint green one. They do at times feel like they will break but considering you get 2 bracelets for 7.99, hey why not?

Urban Outfitters 9.99 (on sale) (Picture taking fail)

I got this cropped tee from Urban Outfitters as well, I absolutely love the Aztec/tribal print on it along with the color. I think it will be great paired over a maxi dress for those warm summer days.

Forever XXI $21.80
Lace is back once again and is really big this summer. I got this top from forever 21 and fell in love the print as well of the cut of this sweater/jumper. I love how feminine and pretty it is and I think the 3/4 length sleeves will make it wonderful for those cooler summer days. This will definitely need a Cami underneath as it is see through.

I got this sweater form Forever 21, you can never have enough basics and a lot of my regular basics are running low. A sweater/jumper like this is never going to go out of style so I thought why not pick it up. Considering I got it for 50% off and it cost me about $17.80 I thought it was quiet the bargain. I decided to get something other then black so I could wear a black collared shirt underneath it. I think I might try this out for my next outfit of the day post.

Alright everyone that is still reading, that is all for now, I hope you are all having a wonderful day and if you want to see more please feel free to follow me on instagram: FarKhar is my username.

Until Next Time,

Maybelline's 24hr Color Tattoos

Hey Guys,

During my last trip to the drug store I came upon the coveted 24hr Color Tattoos by Maybelline. I've always wanted to try out a couple mac paint pots but I never got around to purchasing any simply because I am not the biggest eyeshadow person. So I figured I may as well try these out considering there is a significant price difference between the two products, and I was pleasantly surprised.

I got the color tattoos in three colors: 30 Pomegranate Punk, 35 Tough as Taupe and 25 Bad to the Bronze. My favorite of the three is probably Bad to the Bronze. Its a really pretty shimmery bronzy-gold color and if you lightly spread it across your eyelid it will give you the perfect shimmery bronze look to your eyes.  I also really like Pomegranate Punk and I think the tones in it are really good color to help bring out your natural eye color esp if you have green eyes.

The pigmentation on these are phenomenal and by 24hrs they really mean 24hrs, on my eyelids they lasted the entire day. So if you have oily lids I definitely recommend you check these out.  If you choose to use these as a base make sure you work quickly as they do set fairly quickly. Also, for a drugstore product the packaging is done really well, they come in glass jars and they don't seem like they would break easily.

One downside I found was and this could just be me not having a proper eye makeup remover. After washing it the bad to the bronze off I noticed I had flecks of gold all across my face but they do eventually come off.

The bottom line is I really recommend checking these out, especially if you see them on sale.

I purchased mine at shoppers drug mart for $4.99 and I have some swatches below so you can see the level of pigmentation and the colors.

Hope Everyone is having a wonderful long weekend if you live in Canada

I obviously wasn't paying attention when photographing as the lids are all switched up.

7 Deadly SIns of Beauty Tag

Hey everyone!

I thought I would try doing the 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag. Instead of going through drawers of makeup, I thought I would just go with products that I use more regularly.

So the first questions is:

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

For my most inexpensive beauty item it would be my Avon ultra luxury eyeliner in Dark Brown. This is my eyeliner of choice and I wear it pretty much every day. I stopped wearing black a while ago as I found it a bit harsh and to animated. This eyeliner in particular is really pigmented, smooth and creamy and is just a breeze to apply. I highly recommend them!

My most expensive beauty item would probably be my Chanel Vitalumiere ($55) foundation and a close second would be my Bobbi Brown shimmer brick($50). I've had my shimmer brick for a really long time and use it at least three times a week so I think it was well worth it. The foundation on the other hand is way to dewy for my liking.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

Tinted Moisturizer. I really love the idea of tinted moisturizer but sometimes I apply it and it just looks splotchy and that could totally just be my skin. Other times I apply it it looks really nice but about an hour or less later it will be really oily and I look like a full-fledged grease ball. Considering my skin isn't crazy oily its just not practical for me to wear for an entire day. A product for me that was the hardest to get and never ended up getting was this hot pink Chanel lip gloss and I don't even remember the name. I went to literally every Chanel counter I could and it just wasn't happening. I think it was from their last years winter collection.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

One of my friends gifted me a Philosophy lip shine in peppermint bark, and it basically tastes like mint chocolate. So if you're a fan of mint chocolate you will adore this gloss. I always catch myself licking my lips after applying this product unfortunately, I believe it can only be found around the winter season.

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

Highlighter. Whenever I am in a rush I just can't be bothered. Also my night time skin care routine.  A lot of times I am just so tired that I fall asleep in my makeup or after just having washed my face.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

Foundation, having nice skin is such a challenge for me and is one of my greatest insecurities. I think it helps give everyone a boost of confidence especially if you struggle with your skin.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

Someone who looks clean and well put together.

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

I would probably most like to receive perfume because it is usually the last think that I buy. I have hoards of perfume from when my cousin was selling Avon and I've been trying to use them all up before splurging.

Here is a swatch of the Philosophy Peppermint Bark Lip Shine & The Avon Ultra Luxury Dark Brown eyeliner pencil. The one to the right is one line and the middle one is the eyeliner layered.

Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful week.

FOTD / Ramble

Hey everyone! Its been over two weeks since I have put up a post. Which is ridiculous! Over the weekend I was at a wedding and thought I would try and see if I could get a quick picture of my make up that day:

On my face, I have my trusty Nars Sheer Glow in Santa Fe along with mac apricot blush mixed in with bobbi brown on the apples. I used Hool by benefit to bronze and contour.

For my eyes I used the mark. eyeshadow in london all over the lid and the darkest shade in the maybelline quad chai latte in the crease. I also used the mark. eyeshadow in whisper in the inner corner and on my brow bone.

For the lips I lightly dabbed on my maybelline lip stain in blushing and topped it off with the a dior addict lipstick called backstage rose 554, I believe the name has been changed to It pink.

That was pretty much my make for the day. If any of you have any questions feel free to comment below.

Also the Revlon lip butters were recently on sale at shoppers drug mart for only 3.99. Now this is the part where I lower my head in shame, I picked up 11 of them. All I can say is I simply adore them. They have the perfect amount of pigment and shine for those lazy days and, there going to be perfect for the summer.

I probably won't be talking about them any more since there has been so many reviews on them already. But if anyone would like to know or needs more info just leave a comment.

Thanks for reading everyone. Hope you week is going well.
