Review: Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

Welcome to the Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask bandwagon. There is a probably a zillion and one reviews on this mask so I'm going to keep my thoughts on this product quite short.

When I decided to try out the mask I went with the 'exclusive to sephora' kit which comes with a full sized Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, a mini Micro Polish Cleanser and a mini radiance perfection serum. When I first used the mask I used all three products in conjunction, the cleanser was nice but it seems like your typical exfoliating cleanser.

Now for the mask, when the product is pumped out your left with a gloppy almost jam consistency that has an orangey smell. I slather the product all over my face and leave it on for about 10-15mins. The first time I used it I realized next to no difference in the appearance of my skin. After all the hype I had read surrounding the mask you can bet I was disappointed and to the back of my medicine cabinet this product went. Then a couple weeks ago my skin was just not in its best condition and I was searching my stash for something to rejuvenate my skin and I came across the mask again. I used the cleanser, then the mask, followed by the serum and I woke up the next day to glowing skin. My skin was significantly smoother, the tone of my skin was more uniform and I had an overall glow. More over, my make up went on more smoothly and flawlessly. Basically, this mask receives an overall thumbs up from me and is going to have a permanent slot in my Sunday evening schedule.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, make sure to tell me what your favorite masks are in the comments below and, as usual leave and questions or comments down below!

Chambray with Mustard: 030113

Hey Everyone,

Thought I would do a quick post and share one of my recent outfit of the days.

Chambray shirts can basically be found anywhere at the moment. I founds this one at Zara during their semi annual sale. I love the fading of the denim and the slight distressed feel the shirt has.  It is also really comfortable and I can see myself wearing it quiet a bit in the coming months. However, when I got it from Zara it had an awful, awful smell to it. Has this happened to anyone?

Now for the mustard! Every time I went into Dynamite (a Canadian store), for some reason I always gravitated towards this particular sweater. It was one of those items that you always look at but never buy. Then one day I saw it on sale and figured I should just get it. I really don't know how much wear I will get out of it but I love the color and up close the sweater almost has a slight sheen to it. On the down side, I feel like its one of those knits that will quickly lose its shape.

Now for the rest of my outfit, everything else you see is what I wear on any other given day. Wax Denim from Zara, if not these I usually wear a pair of faux leather pants I purchased a while back from Vero Moda or my faux leather pants from H&M.

The ankle boots were actually a great steal from Sears. I got them on boxing day for $15! They are not the greatest quality but are very comfortable to walk in. I got them in the black and tan, check your nearest Sears to see if they are still around, the brand is Jessica.

Chambray Shirt: Zara (last season)
Knit: Dynamite (last season)
Denim: Zara
Boots: Sears
Rings: Asos
Bag: Ebay
Lips: Revlon lip butter in Lollipop

Well that is my outfit of the day! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! If you have any questions feel free to leave them down below.

Valentines Day Look: Radiant Red

Hey Everyone,

So I have a simple look for you guys today. It is really easy to do and hopefully will help those looking for some inspiration for their Valentines Day look. I actually wore this look to a recent concert (Muse) I went to, and I thought it would make a great look for valentines day. It is different then the one I did last year which was more of a natural blushing look.  I think this is a radiant, easy look which can be worn on Valentines Day, either with your significant other or while eating a tub of ice cream and watching the latest episode of Suits.

On a side note... I have been really into red lipstick again so coincidentally I am wearing the same lipstick I am in my last post. Also, apologies for the hair,  I was in a rush and had just washed it and I did not realize it was all over my face.

So now for the make up:

On the Face:
Foundation: Nars Sheer Glow in Santa Fe
Concealor: Sephora Perfecting Cover Concealer
Blush: Nars Blush in Madly on the backs of my cheeks and Nars Orgasm on the apples
Bronzer: Benefit Bronzer in Hoola

Eyeshadow 1: Lid Shade from the Maybelline Chai Latte Quad all over the lid
Eyeshadow 2: Eyebrow shade from the Maybelline Chai Latte Quad on the inner 1/4 of my lid blended in with the lid shade
Eyeliner 1: Essence eye liner pen in Black on the outer half of my eye lid
Eyeliner 2: Sephora Jumbo Liner 12hr Wear Waterproof eyeliner in 04 Taupe on the bottom lashline Mascara: Covergirl Lash Blast Volume

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and a special Valentines Day!

Beauty Haul: Mac, Revlon and Maybelline

 Hey Everyone,

So I have a small beauty haul even though I have been trying to not spend money. It is just waay to difficult with all of the sales that have been going on. Anyways, I headed over to mac and purchased the coveted satin taupe. I figured it was about time considering all the hype that surrounds this particular shade.  (swatch down below)

While I was there I also picked up Brick-Ola which comes in the creme amplified formula so it goes on opaque right away. Although, I really do love the shade it wouldn't be a favorite mine as I find it to be a bit to warming with my skin tone.

I shamelessly also picked up two other lipsticks. Shoppers Drug Mart was recently having a sale on lip butters so I picked up the shades Candy Apple and Raspberry Pie. I love this particular formula and have used all the other ones I own to their very end.  Raspberry Pie is a bright pink fuchsia which will be great for the spring and Candy Apple is a more of an orange toned red with no shimmer. For those wondering, the Revlon lip butter in Cherry Tart is more blue tones and has shimmer.

Swatches:

RaspberryPie, Candy Apple, Brick-Ola and Satin Taupe

Left to right: Gold's Night Our and Ruby Rhinestones

The last think I got is two new glitter polishes from Maybelline in Gold's Night Out and Ruby Rhinestones. In all honesty I haven't been to impressed with the Maybelline color show formula. I have found the formula for the ones I have tried to be very thin and sheer. However, I couldn't help it and had to pick up the these two beauties. I do think they are good considering there price point ($2.97) and the formula for these is pretty good compared to the other I have tried, though they could be a bit more glossier.

That is all for my little haul. Hope you all have a great week up ahead and I will do my best to post more often.

Thanks for reading,
Farha

Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Hot Chocolate

Hey everyone!

Thought I would post something a little different today and share my quick recipe for Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Hot Chocolate. I found the squares at my local wal-mart and of course if you're not a fan of peppermint feel free to substitute the squares to a different flavor. This has been one of my favorite drinks this season especially because it turns out really rich and chocolatey.

You will need the following items:

Ingredients

 Steps:
1. Warm up about 350 ml or 12oz of milk (or water, I prefer milk) on medium heat
2. Once the milk is warm enough take 3-4 squares depending on the richness you want, and melt thing into the milk on at a time.
3. If you want more of chocolate flavor add in some of your favorite hot chocolate mix, this step is optional. If you like you're hot chocolate really minty I would skip this.
4. Use a whisk to make sure everything is melted in and you have no bits of chocolate or hot chocolate powder.
5. Pour it into your favorite mug and add a lot of whip creme.
6. Break one of the squares up and sprinkle on top 7. Enjoy!!
What you should end up with!
Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below. Don't forget to check out my instagram: Farhaa_

Menswear: Christmas and New Year Outfit

 Hey Guys!

I wanted to a quick post on something a little different. Menswear. I can't help but love how simple but detailed a lot of the pieces in menswear is. Sometimes I catch myself dwelling in the men's section of a lot of my favorite stores. I find that a lot of the pieces I like aren't very loud, like you usually see in women's wear. It is all about the color and cut and in most cases of course, how everything is put together.

Here is an outfit idea for christmas/new years or any other parties you may be attending. Unfortunately, they are not the best of quality cause I did not have my camera that day. Before we get to the pictures I would like to thank my cousin Zubair, for being the 'model' for this post. You can check him out on twitter: zubs_k and on instagram: zubs_k

Now for the pictures:

Pants: Zara
Blazer: Guess
New Girl anyone?
Tie: Tiptop
Shirt: Tiptop

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and Happy Holidays to all!
