Recent Beauty Purchases!

Hey everyone!

Over the past three weeks I have done a bit of shopping and I have gotten quiet a few beauty products. A lot of these are limited edition but you can usually find them on Ebay. I actually haven't bought much make up for a while and thought it was time.

To start off I got three products from mac. The first and probably one of my favorites! It is the flamingo lipstick from the Iris Apfel collection. Flamingo is a light milky coral pink color and is perfect for those days when you don't want too much color but you also don't want nude lips. It is a lustre finish so it has a bit of a sheen as well.

The next few products I got are all face products. The first is from the mac Naturally collection and is a mineralized blush in fresh honey. In my opinion it could be worn as either a blush or bronzer especially if you have lighter skin. Its extremely pigmented and you literally only need to dab you brush in the product. It is a warm peachy brown color and is different then anything I own.

The next product is also form the mac Naturally collection and it is the mineralized skin finish in Blonde. This product is a repromote form the mac brunette, blonde and redhead collection from a couple years ago. I went to two different mac stores to get this msf and when I finally found it, it was the last one left! Its a really pretty soft shimmery pink and can be used as either a highlighter or blush.

I've been wanting a bright pink blush for quiet some time and have also had my eye on Peony by Bobbi Brown for a while. So I figured it was time to take the plunge. So far I love the color, it isn't to pigmented which is perfect considering how bright the color is. At the same time its pretty build-able and contains no shimmer, so you can get bright cheeks or just go with a sheer wash of color.

Swatches of all three:

From the left: Fresh Honey, Blonde, Peony

The next product was a just a repurchase of my trusty foundation which is Nars Sheer glow in Santa fe, I have been using this foundation for about two years now and still love it. Its not to matte or to dewy which is what I prefer.

The last thing I got is an Essie nail polish called Set in Stones and it is just a chunky glitter top coat! I really excited to use it and try and get the "I have liquid metal on my finger nails" look.

That is all for this post! If you have any question or need to know more about the products leave a comment below!

  1. I like that Essie polish - nice shade! I will probably go out and search for it, it would be fun to wear even though what I usually wear mostly falls in the category of light pink and nude shades.

    1. Well sometimes I like to take the glitter and put it on random nails! I think it would look really pretty on top of nude polishes!
